I loved the homey feel of this family-run hotel, perfectly located for exploring! The unique decor and delicious breakfast options, especially the bircher muesli, made my stay exceptional.

My stay at Hotel Merkur was delightful, with impeccably clean and spacious rooms that felt very welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options, including freshly made eggs that I truly appreciated. The staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to assist.

I had a very unpleasant experience due to the lack of soundproofing. Noise from the street was intolerable during the early morning, disrupting my sleep multiple times. To make matters worse, the hotel relocated me without prior notice, and lugging my bags up several flights of stairs without an elevator was incredibly frustrating.

The breakfast offered a delightful variety, allowing me to enjoy health-conscious options while starting my day on the right foot.

The soundproofing in the room was a bit lacking, as I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms quite clearly, impacting my overall comfort.

Breakfast staff made my day

During my stay, I was blown away by the breakfast staff—they offered made-to-order eggs and didn't hesitate to bring fresh coffee right to my table. The location was perfect, just steps away from key attractions like the Caracalla-Therme and local dining options, making my exploration easy and enjoyable.

A major drawback was the lack of an elevator. I was on the third floor, and lugging my bags up and down the stairs was quite the workout! Additionally, there were a couple of maintenance issues, like the air conditioning remote missing, which made my stay less comfortable than I hoped.

The Double Room was cozy and comfortable with nice decor. I loved having a flat-screen TV and a mini fridge for snacks. The complimentary Wi-Fi was fast, which was great for keeping in touch. The only downside was the noise from the street, which could be distracting at times.

It was just a fine choice for a mini-vacation in Baden-Baden with definitely value for money. The breakfast room was nice and clean, serving very good food. Bring your own AC if you struggle with heat.
